TOEM 2 FAQ
Short answers to the questions people actually search for. Where the developer has not said, this page says "not announced" instead of guessing.
Is TOEM 2 multiplayer or co-op?
No. TOEM 2 is single-player only. The Steam store page lists "Single-player" and carries no multiplayer, co-op or online play categories at all. The first game was single-player too.
Does TOEM 2 support Chinese?
Yes. Steam lists 12 interface languages for the full game, and both Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese are among them. The complete list is English, French, German, Spanish (Spain), Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Simplified Chinese, Swedish, Traditional Chinese and Ukrainian.
Note that the free demo is English only — so if you tried the demo and found no Chinese option, that is a demo limitation, not the full game's.
Does TOEM 2 have full voice acting?
Not stated. Steam lists "Captions available" and subtitle options, which implies spoken or vocalised content of some kind, but the developer has not published a voice-acting or localisation breakdown per language.
Does TOEM 2 have controller support?
Yes, full controller support, and Steam marks the game "Gamepad Recommended". DualShock and DualSense controllers are both explicitly supported. There is also a "Keyboard Only Option" for players who prefer it.
If you played the first game with mouse-only movement, be aware the control scheme has changed — a returning player has already asked on the Steam board for the old mouse-only option to come back.
Does TOEM 2 have cloud saves?
Yes. Steam Cloud is listed for both the full game and the free demo. The game also supports saving at any time rather than at checkpoints.
Does TOEM 2 have achievements?
Yes. Steam Achievements are listed for the full game, and unusually, the free demo has its own achievements too. The achievement list itself is not yet public — Steam's global achievement stats page for the demo currently returns no data.
How long is TOEM 2?
Not announced. The developer has not published a completion time, and there is no reliable third-party figure for an unreleased game.
For what it is worth, full playthroughs of the free demo published on YouTube run roughly 48 minutes to just over an hour — but that is one region slice, not a basis for estimating the whole game.
How much does TOEM 2 cost?
No price has been announced. Neither the Steam store page nor the PlayStation Store listing shows one. The first game is $19.99 USD, which is a reference point and not a prediction. More detail on the release date page.
What is TOEM 2 rated?
Steam lists a required age of 0, meaning no age gate. The PlayStation Store listing carries the notice "Online Interactions Not Rated by the ESRB" — this is a standard disclaimer and does not indicate online multiplayer, which the game does not have.
Formal regional ratings have not been published.
Is TOEM 2 on Game Pass or PS Plus?
Not announced for either. There is no Xbox version at all, which rules out Game Pass for now. Nothing has been said about PlayStation Plus.
Worth noting as context: a player commented under the official trailer that they first played the original game on PS5 "via PS+", so the first game did appear on the service at some point. That says nothing about the sequel's plans.
Do I need to play the first TOEM first?
No. The developer says TOEM 2 was made to be welcoming to newcomers. It is set a few years after the first game's story, so you would be joining an ongoing continuity, but not one you need briefing on.
Is the TOEM 2 demo still available?
Yes, free on Steam since June 6, 2026. See the demo page for what it contains, and demo troubleshooting if it will not run — there is a confirmed macOS crash the developer has acknowledged.
Does demo progress carry into the full game?
Not stated. The developer has not addressed whether Deltburg saves or demo achievements transfer.
Is there a physical edition of TOEM 2?
Not announced. Players have asked the developer for one publicly, but no plan has been confirmed.
When exactly does TOEM 2 unlock?
The PlayStation Store lists September 29, 2026 at 21:00 GMT+8, which is 13:00 UTC. Steam has published a date but not a time. Full timezone table on the release date page.
